From Airport to MPA
If you wish to come to MPA directly from the Munich Airport, a taxi would be the best option (about 15 minutes).
If you insist on using the public transport, here is one possibility:
- Take a train called "S-Bahn," with the number "S1".
- Get off the train at "Neufahrn," which is only two stations from the Munich Airport.
- Take a bus for "690: Garching-Forschungszentrum." Do not take a wrong bus for "690: Eching"!
- Get off the train at the terminal "Garching-Forschungszentrum." (It is denoted as "U" in the map below.) It takes about 30 minutes from Neufahrn.
- Walk down south on "Boltzmannstraße" until the end.
- Turn left onto "Karl-Schwarzschild-Straße." Also see the map below.
