Directions to the Conference Dinner at “Aumeister" on Wednesday

The conference dinner will take place “Aumeister”, a Bavaria-style restaurant located inside the English Garden, on Wednesday at 19:00. To go there from the conference venue (MPA) or your hotel, please follow the following directions.

The return bus will depart at 22:00. It will stop first at Garching Hochbrück and then at Garching.

The banquet fee is 50 euros per person. Please pay at the registration. You will receive a receipt.

By the Conference Bus

  • From MPA
    1. Bus departs from MPA at 18:30 [there will be one bus]
    2. Bus will arrive at the intersection of “Sondermeierstr.” (north-south) and “Leinthalerstr.” (east-west). Go south on “Sondermeierstr.” for 150m, and Aumeister will be on your right. See the map below:


  • From Hotels in Garching
    1. Bus departs from Garching U6 Station at 18:40
    2. Please wait at the location marked in the following map:


  1. Bus will arrive at the intersection of “Sondermeierstr.” (north-south) and “Leinthalerstr.” (east-west). Go south on “Sondermeierstr.” for 150m, and Aumeister will be on your right.


  • From Hotels in Garching-Hochbrück
    1. Bus departs from the area near Hotel Ibis (on “Daimlerstr.”) at 18:50
    2. Please wait at the location marked in the following map:
  1. Bus will arrive at the intersection of “Sondermeierstr.” (north-south) and “Leinthalerstr.” (east-west). Go south on “Sondermeierstr.” for 150m, and Aumeister will be on your right.


By the public transportation [e.g., from hotels in Munich]

  • Take U6, and get off at “Studentenstadt”
  • At the platform, take the stairs down, and go to the rightmost exit
  • Once exit, go left on “Grasmeisterstr.” and walk all the way (toward east) to the entrance of “Englishergarten”, i.e., a huge park
  • Enter the park and keep going straight, until you see a small bridge. Do not cross the bridge, but turn left
  • Keep going straight, until you see another small bridge. This time, go ahead and cross the bridge. Turn left
  • Keep going straight, until you hit the T-shaped path. Turn left
  • Go straight and you find yet another small bridge. Cross the bridge, and you will find the beer garden area. The restaurant is on your left
