The workshop will take place at Max-Planck-Institut für Astrophysik (MPA), Garching (northern suburb of Munich), Germany.
From Hotels to MPA
First, go to the nearest U6 (U-Bahn line 6) station, which is probably either "Odeonsplatz" if you stay at Hotel Marienbad, or "Universität" if you stay at Hotel Hauser or Hotel Antares-München.
Then:
- Take a train for "Garching-Forschungszentrum." Do not take those for "Fröttmaning" or "Kieferngarten," as they stop in the middle and do not make it to the terminal. (The terminal is Garching-Forschungszentrum.) Also, do not take a wrong train for "Klinikum-Großhadern."
- Get off the train at the terminal "Garching-Forschungszentrum." (It is denoted as "U" in the map below.) It takes about 25 minutes from Odeonsplats or Universität. Use this page to look up a time table.
- Walk down south on "Boltzmannstraße" until the end.
- Turn left onto "Karl-Schwarzschild-Straße." Also see the map below.
