The Aim of This Workshop

The origin of the accelerated expansion of the universe remains one of the biggest challenges to our understanding of physics. Is it dark energy or breakdown of General Relativity on large scales? Is it gravitating vacuum energy? Is it a cosmological constant? Making progress on understanding this requires concerted efforts involving astronomers and physicists.

The aim of this conference is to bring together leading experts
in observational and theoretical cosmology to discuss the current status and future prospects of the
accelerated expansion of the universe as a prime interface between physics at the largest observable distances and that on microscopic scales.
