Benedetta Ciardi receives
2004 Marie-Curie Excellence Award
in Warsaw Ceremony
Benedetta Ciardi, a staff member of the Max Planck Institute for
Astrophysics, was one of 5 scientists awarded the prestigious
Marie-Curie Excellence Award of the European Commission at a ceremony
in Warsaw on November 7 2004. Benedetta was recognised for her work
on the effect that the radiation of the first stars had on
intergalactic gas in the Universe and on the process of galaxy
formation.
