Basic idea:
Each of (especially new) postdocs/staff would give a day-long lecture on a chosen subject.
This is the best way to introduce ourselves, and the best way to know what lecturers actually do not understand about the subject, which is quite educational for both audience and lecturers.
All lectures must be black-board only! I would encourage the lecturers to write up lecture notes (which can be hand-written) and distribute before giving lectures. See this note for an example.
Attendance is voluntary - you pick the ones you want to sit in.
