The problems seems to be this
pm_periodic.c:21:28: error: srfftw_mpi.h: No such file or directory

Maybe you missed to give the right include paths in the makefile or
you have not installed both the versions of fftw,i mean both single
and double precision.
Maybe you miss the single precision one and compiled gadget without
DOUBLEPRECISION_FFTW.


Either compile gadget in double precision or install both the versions of
the library (The instructions to do are on page 4 of the user guide).
