There was a problem with the photometry of objects on duplicates plates so this catalogue is off-line at the problem (09/10/05)
This catalogue contains a table with stellar mass estimates for the full sample. They were derived using the methodology of Gallazzi et al 2005, MNRAS, 362, 41. See caveats/details below.
The data found here provides stellar mass estimates for more galaxies than our official release. They have been derived using the methodology of Gallazzi et al (2005), but the models used were an older version of the models used by them (different prior). We do not expect this to influence the stellar mass estimates but they should be considered preliminary until the DR4 has been re-analysed using the latest model grids, and stellar metallicities will only be available at that time.
There is a known offset of 0.06469 between these stellar masses and our official numbers (see Gallazzi et al 2005 for a discussion of this general offset), in the sense that one must add this offset to the log M* given in the table.
The catalogue is matched 1-1 with the FITS files with raw data and the SFR files.
What | Units | |
---|---|---|
Column 1 | Running ID number | |
Column 2 | Log dust-corrected mass (lower 2.5 percentile of probability distribution) | Solar masses |
Column 3 | as above, 16th percentile of prob distr. | Solar masses |
Column 4 | as above (median of probability distribution) | Solar masses |
Column 5 | as above, 84th percentile of prob distr. | Solar masses |
Column 6 | as above, 97.5th percentile of prob distr. | Solar masses |
The following Fortran-style format was used to write the file: (I6,1X,6(F8.3,1X)).
