Stellar evolution of low- and intermediate-mass stars:
Low-mass stars: evolution, physics (mixing processes, nucleosynthesis)
intermediate-mass stars: Asymptotic Giant Branch (evolution, mixing, nucleosynthesis), Cepheids (convection, mass)
The Sun (interior structure, seismology, solar abundance problem)
Asteroseismology (giants, clusters, massive stars: models for seismic analysis; CoRoT, KEPLER, PLATO)
Clusters, globular and open (age, composition, sub-populations, laboratories for stellar structure theory)
Stellar ages (clusters, field stars, individual stars)
Dynamical and energetic events in stars (core helium flash, thermal pulses, convection, semiconvection, hydrostatic and -dynamic approach)
Evolution of Pop III stars (low-mass, composition, extremely metal-poor stars in the galactic halo)

Details about availability and subjects should be discussed with me, but here is a short list of possible projects, more will be possible, and may be designed depending on your own interest.
Note that I do not offer PhD projects any longer, because of my approaching retirement.
