difference between PPP and P variables

Dear Gadget users,

I was looking into the GADGET code, and I noticed that there are 2 similar variables : PPP and P. They are structures of the data particles, but I just wanted to know what was the difference exactly ? My guess is that P contains the state of the current (newly computed) particle, and PPP is the same particle state at the previous timestep. Can someone confirm that I’m on the good track ?

I checked the website http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/gadget/html/globals.html#index_p <http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/gadget/html/globals.html#index_p>, but PPP is not listed in the variables.

Thanks by advance for your help,

Long
