It is the goal of the BiD4BEST ITN to unveil the evolution of black holes using existing state-of-the-art observational resources. These data will be analysed using novel methods from the data science field, from machine/deep learning to advanced Bayesian inference, and compared against the latest models. BiD4BEST participants indeed pioneered in the use of machine/deep learning-based algorithms to classify galaxies and discern viable evolutionary patterns1. At present, there is, nevertheless, limited awareness in the astronomy community in dealing with big data.
