Why I cannot accept internships from non-local students

Unfortunately, as a rule, I cannot accept internships from students who are not local to the Munich/Garching area, for the reasons given below. I receive many requests by email. In case you have contacted me and not heard back, I hope you understand that I cannot always respond to all of them.

Evaluation:

it is very difficult for me to evaluate suitable candidates and identify matching projects based on email applications.

Logistics:

short-term housing is extremely difficult to find in Munich, and generally very expensive.

Administrative:

students from non-EU countries require a work permit in Germany. MPA has no resources for administrative support for this fairly complicated process.
