About me

Welcome to my Website

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) in Garching, Germany, working in the High Energy Astrophysics Group.

Previously I finished my doctoral studies at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) in Caracas, Venezuela under the supervision of Dr. Claudio Mendoza and Dr. Javier García.

I am interested in studying and modeling X-ray absorption in astrophysical environments using high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy. I developed a new X-ray absorption model for the Interstellar Medium (ISMabs) which includes the most accurate atomic data available for neutral elements as well as the single and double ionized ions. I am developing an X-ray absorption model for high-ionized state environment in order to search the "missing baryons" in the warm-hot intergalactic medium.
