Girls Day 2015: Changing Skies

School girls will travel from the skies above Garching back to the very beginnings of the Universe if they come to the Girls’ Day at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics. In the portable planetarium dome, junior scientists will present the digital planetarium show “Changing Skies”, which not only deals with changes in stars and galaxies but also explains how some of these processes can be understood and modelled in simulations.

In a complementary talk, the girls will learn about some recent research findings. In addition, the girls will be able to do some research themselves: In different experiments they can „work“ on several astronomical topics. They will also have the opportunity to discuss with the scientists at MPA about their work and their career.
