Girls‘ Day 2012 at the MPA

School girls will travel from the skies above Garching back to the very beginnings of the Universe if they come to the Girls’ Day on 26. 4. 2012 at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics.

In the new portable planetarium dome, junior scientists will present the digital planetarium show “A changing sky”, which not only deals with changes in stars and galaxies but also explains how some of these processes can be understood and modelled in simulations. In a complementary talk, the girls will learn about some recent research findings. And of course there will be the possibility to discuss with the scientists and find out about a career in research.
