thanks a lot for your response.
The simulation was n fact running quite well when it did crash...I have seen
the lines after the crash...
i don not see large numbers nor inf symbols... I make you a copy
here...

-DADAPTIVE_GRAVSOFT_FORGAS...
I am doing simulations to follow the gravitational
collapse of clouds....but there is no additional
physics...
