+++++++++++ IMPORTANT INFORMATION about COVID-19 ASPECTS +++++++++++


The most recent Covid regulations on the Castle are the following:

1)  Access is possible *only* if you comply to the German "3G" rule:
 (a) either you can prove to be fully vaccinated with a vaccine accepted
     in Germany (Phizer-Biontech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson),
 (b) or you can prove to have been infected with Covid-19 and recovered,
 (c) or you provide a valid negative Covid-test not older than 48 hours.

In the last case you will have to repeat such a test every
72 hrs during your stay on the Castle. A self-test is sufficient
and will be available on the Castle either from us organizers or
from the Castle administration.

We will have to verify that all participants fulfill one of the
three requirements.

It is also strongly recommended that all participants do a self-test 
before coming to the workshop or at their arrival on the Castle in 
order to detect so-called break-through infections of immunized
persons.

Please inform yourself also about Covid regulations for entering 
Germany from other, especially non-EU countries. You may have to 
present certificates for vaccination or immunization, and you may 
be subject to quarantine!


2) Inside the Castle, masks, either medical or FFP2, have to be 
used all the time, except in the restaurant during breakfast, 
lunch, and dinner as well as in your own room.

We will have to wear these masks also in the lecture room in order
to allow seating of more than 23 participants. If we limit the
occupation to 23 so that 1.5 m distancing can be ensured, no face
masks are needed. In such a case we have the possibility to 
virtually connect to a large seminar room where 14 more people
can sit with 1.5 distance and without masks. Possibly, a second
seminar room can also be used this way, but this will/would
stress the bandwidth on the Castle. We will be flexible to switch
between these possibilities, but we would prefer the first option
(i.e., all participants in the lecture room wearing masks).
