This group is headed by Friedrich Röpke and funded through the Emmy Noether Program of the Deutsche Forschungsgemainschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) and hosted by the Max-Planck-Institute für Astrophysik, Garching, Germany. The research goal of the group is to provide a comprehensive modeling of Type Ia supernova explosions.
