Hello and welcome to my home page! I am DFG postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics at Garching. I am interested in the origin and evolution of the interstellar dust in galaxies. It consists of µm-size particles found everywhere in the interstellar space: from hot gas with temperature of 106 K to cold dense clouds, where they eventually become building blocks for protoplanetary disks and planets. I model the lifecycle of interstellar grains, processing and transformations in the interstellar medium in the Milky Way and other galaxies. I am also interested in dust condensation in stellar outflows of evolved stars. Besides this, I study how evolution of grains in protoplanetary disks affects their chemical and physical structure.
